The first Sculpturing in the set of 4 works commissioned by the Buzz Aldrin Family Foundation to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon Landing, held at NASA's Kennedy Space Center official gala on July 16, 2019. "Firing" depicts the moment Apollo 11 and Saturn V's rockets are fired on July 16, 1969 from Kennedy Space Center's Launch Complex 39A, and launched into orbit. The ring band depicts the surface of the Earth, likening to the Florida terrain where the spacecraft was launched. The piece is fully wearable and contains the Apollo 11 craft with the Saturn V Rockets, boosters, and smoke clouds.
