The fourth Sculpturing in the set of 4 works commissioned by the Buzz Aldrin Family Foundation to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon Landing, held at NASA's Kennedy Space Center official gala on July 16, 2019. "Reentering" depicts the Columbia return module's reentry to the Earth's atmosphere, landing safely with parachute deployed during splash down in the middle of the Pacific ocean on July 24th, 1969. The ring band depicts the surface of the ocean, likening itself to the waves textures where the spacecraft splashed down.
