Created exclusively for "Bad Dads 5: The Films of Wes Anderson" an exhibition at Spoke Art Gallery in San Francisco.
"Maturing," inspired by Wes Anderson's coming of age tale "Moonrise Kingdom" depicts the scene in Chickchaw Territory where a disrobed Suzy lies on the shore while Sam paints her portrait. Important symbols from the film are present, such as the tent, Sam's horn rimmed glasses, Suzy's binoculars and a pair of left handed scissors. The double-fingered ring band is made up of criss-crossed canoe oars and Suzy's record player.
Comes with Sculpturing, Hand Blown Glass Cloche Dome, Black Engraved Base with Armature, Travel Pouch, and Signed, Numbered, Dated, Fingerprinted Documentation. "Maturing" also comes with the Original 9" x 12" Concept Sketch/Rendering done in Graphite on Heavyweight Rives BFK Archival Paper, framed in black, double matted in cream & black, wired and ready for hanging, signed by Rebecca Rose.
